Privacy policy

TypeSwift stores your typing scores and personal bests exclusively in your browser using localStorage. We have no backend database for user results, no accounts, and no logins. The text you type during a test is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and clearing your browser data resets your saved scores.

TypeSwift is a free service supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads on this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to TypeSwift and other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. These ad networks may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and general (non-precise) location to show more relevant ads and measure ad performance. TypeSwift does not share the words you type or your typing scores with any advertiser.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (google.com/settings/ads). You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices, or youronlinechoices.eu in the EU. If you are in a region that requires consent for advertising cookies (such as the EEA or UK), ads may be shown in a non-personalized mode until you provide consent.

If analytics is enabled by the site operator (for example Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or Microsoft Clarity), aggregate, anonymized usage data such as page views may be collected to help improve the product. IP anonymization is enabled where supported. No typing content is sent to analytics providers.

TypeSwift itself does not require cookies to function. However, the advertising and analytics providers described above may set their own cookies to serve and measure ads and to understand aggregate usage. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; disabling them will not stop you from using the typing test.

TypeSwift is a general-audience typing tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising shown on the site is subject to the ad providers’ own policies.
