About this level
Time to reach up. Every finger stretches one row higher and then comes straight back down to home. Ten new keys arrive here — two at a time — and suddenly most English words are within reach.
What you practise here
- E and I — Middle fingers reach up. D goes to E, K goes to I. Then straight back down. Target: 16 words per minute at 90% accuracy.
- R and U — Pointer fingers reach up from F and J. Target: 16 words per minute at 90% accuracy.
- W and O — Ring fingers up. Small movement, big control. Target: 16 words per minute at 90% accuracy.
- Q, P, T and Y — The far corners. Pinkies get Q and P; pointers stretch inward for T and Y. Target: 16 words per minute at 89% accuracy.
- Sky row words — Real words using both rows now. Reach up, come home. Target: 20 words per minute at 93% accuracy.
- Sky row champion — Two rows down, one to go. Target: 22 words per minute at 94% accuracy.
How this level is scored
Every lesson awards up to three stars. One star is for finishing, two for finishing accurately, and three for accuracy at the level's pace — speed on its own never earns a star. Lessons in this level also wait for the correct key: a wrong press does not move the cursor on, so a child cannot practise the wrong finger movement. Words per minute is recorded but never shown to the child — it appears only on the parent and progress pages.
