The last two resting keys belong to your smallest fingers. A is the left pinky and the semicolon is the right pinky. Once you own these, all eight fingers have a home of their own.
What you practise here
- Little finger, big job — Pinkies are small but strong. Keep your wrist still and just reach with the finger. Target: 11 words per minute at 88% accuracy.
- The whole home row — All eight fingers, all eight keys. This is the foundation of everything. Target: 14 words per minute at 92% accuracy.
- Home row master — Prove the home row is yours. Target: 16 words per minute at 94% accuracy.
How this level is scored
Every lesson awards up to three stars. One star is for finishing, two for finishing accurately, and three for accuracy at the level's pace — speed on its own never earns a star.
